Christmas Cookies!!!

I absolutely LOVE Christmas time. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. And one of the things I love MOST about Christmas time are Christmas cookies, and lucky for me, my mom has made a ton every single year. I remember helping her a little bit when we were little (and I believe that we have pictures to prove it to), so it’s become a tradition that I look forward to every December.

The last few years I haven't gotten to spend the whole day helping because of having other Christmas celebrations, but this year I got to spend pretty much the whole day helping out. It's always so much fun and I'm pretty sure we make more cookies every year. This year we made 52 and a quarter DOZEN cookies. Yes, that's 627 cookies!! Ridiculous. But oh-so-yummy.

Here's us at the end of the day...worn out...
And just for funsy's...here's Cookie Day 2007...But anyway, back to this year...Mom and me after all the cookies are done...
Simone posing by a tree...had to take a picture. So beautiful. :)

Sugar cookies with icing...we normally just do sprinkles on top, but this year we decided to do something a little different. Yum!
And then once I got home, I had to take a picture of the whole assortment (ignore all the powdered sugar) We made Butterballs, Sugar, Whippersnaps, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, and Macaroons (but I forgot to take one of those, we didn't make many) Don't they look delish??? :)

So there ya go. Yummy Christmas cookies! I think my Boot Camp instructor knows how many cookies I've eaten already because he definitely kicked our butts today. Oh well, I've got 17 months til the wedding...plenty of time to eat cookies. :)

Happy Holidays!

Let the Holiday Festivities Begin...

I'm a little behind on posting these pics because I've had 2 holiday parties already, but what do you expect it's Christmas time...it's a little hectic. I've bought a couple gifts so far, but not completely done with anyone yet...I'll get there. I plan on going tonight after work to knock out a bunch of other stuff on my lists, so keep your fingers crossed that I do actually do that. :)

So anyway, a few Saturdays ago we had Shoe Carnival's "holiday" party in Newburgh at Rolling Hills Country Club. It just so happened to be the same night as Ty's work party, but he said we didn't have to go to his, so we just went to mine. We got there fashionably late because we had to run by the mall first and pick up my ring!!! YAY! FINALLY got it back. woo hoo! So then we headed to the party. Ate a little food. Mingled a little. Crossed our fingers that I won some prizes, but didn't. Had a pretty good time overall. But if our parties fall on the same night next year, I think we'll go to his...I'm nice like that. :)

Here are a few pics from the party...

Me and Sarah, my work bff.

My fiance and I!! ;)

April, my carpool buddy.

Then this past Saturday, I got together with some of my Murray friends in Paducah for a "Girls Get Together". Lacy and Jason (and Madelyn) graciously hosted the party in their beautiful new house. Danielle, Krystal, Sara and Jon, (and Grant and Wesley), and I were all able to go. Ty had to work that night so he wasn't able to go... :( We also missed Becca, Todd and the girls, Janelle and the Darrens, and Lindsey, but it was still a very good time. We had a RIDICULOUS amount of food and I'm ashamed to say that I "grazed" from about 2 o'clock until 9 o'clock when we left...ridiculous. But it was SO good. So we ate and played some games and just enjoyed hanging out. We all hadn't been together since August, so it was a much needed catch up. I can't wait to make this an annual thing! :)

So, of course, we had to take a group picture and what better pose than on the staircase. Totally cheesy, but so us. I love it!!

You love it, don't you?? haha

And then one in front of the tree...Happy Holidays!! From~Danielle, Lacy, Sara, Krystal & Lindsay :)

Happy Birthday Madison!!

Okay, so I'm copying off Tammy, but I really like this idea...

So I just want to wish my beautiful niece a Very Happy 11th Birthday today!! I love you so much, Maddie. You are such a sweet and funny girl and I'm proud to call you my niece!! Ty and I (and Lexie and Baxter) hope you have a Fabulous birthday!! :)

Living Room

So I think I have my living room MOSTLY done. There can always be a few more things added, but I finally got something hung up over the tv and another little box/picture thing that I've had sitting on the floor in my living room for like a year and a half finally hung up. I have a hard time making decisions, okay? I'm very indecisive. Ask Ty. haha

So here you go. Here are some pics of my "basically finished after almost 2 years" living room. Let me know what you think. :)

My little B-Bax posing for the camera. :)

View from the front door. I kind of want to put little shelves over by the loveseat, but not really sure. I feel like it still needs something though...

New clock and lamp. Got the clock at Target for $10. Regular like $80 or something, so I had to get it! I think it maybe needs to go lower...thoughts??

View from the corner of the room by the closet.

View from the stairs. And there's Baxter again...he likes the camera. :)

And the box/picture thing that I've had forever. I think it looks pretty good there. :)

So there you have it. You all like?? :)
