Homemade Frozen Coffee

Here is the recipe for the frozen coffee I was talking about last week. Delish! Enjoy!!!!

Vanillalicious Cafe Freeze

Crave blended coffee drinks, but not all the calories they typically contain? You need Hungry Girl's swappuccinos in your life. Get started with this recipe...

Ingredients:
1 tbsp. sugar-free French vanilla powdered creamer (I just use the Original kind)
2 no-calorie sweetener packets
(like Splenda or Truvia)
5 oz. light vanilla soymilk
1 oz. sugar-free calorie-free vanilla-flavored syrup (like the kind by Torani)(I've used this and the sugar free caramel too)
1 tsp. instant coffee granules
1 cup crushed ice or 5 to 8 ice cubes
2 tbsp. Fat Free Reddi-wip (I always leave this off, but it would make it even BETTER!)

Directions:
In a tall glass, combine creamer with sweetener. Add 2 tbsp. hot water and stir to dissolve.
Transfer mixture to a blender. Add all remaining ingredients except Reddi-wip and blend at high speed until smooth.
Pour and top with Reddi-wip. Yum!

Entire recipe: 87 calories, 3.5g fat, 96mg sodium, 9g carbs, 0g fiber, 4g sugars, 4g protein

Sounds pretty yummy, doesn't it?? Ty even likes them too!!! So glad I found this recipe. Check out www.hungry-girl.com for other yummy recipes!

Weekend Wrap Up

I LOVED having a three day weekend this past weekend, it made getting up yesterday morning to go to work a little rough. Oh well, I'll take a rough Tuesday with a three day weekend over a short little 2 day weekend any day!

Friday:

After work I got my oil changed, got gas, and went to the bank, then just went home and Ty and I stayed home and watched tv and went to bed pretty early because we were both getting up early on Saturday.

Saturday:

Ty left to play softball in Jasper, IN at like 6 in the morning and I got up not too long after that and headed down to Paris, TN to visit my friend Tonya before she and her husband leave for Zimbabwe for SIX MONTHS!! But first, I had to stop and get fuel. For ME!
Skinny Iced Caramel Machiatto. Yum!!! Thanks hubby for the gift card. :)

Finally, I was on the road. Got to Tonya's and we went to the pool to lay out for a couple of hours. I didn't even realize how long we had been out there because we were talking non-stop. That's what tends to happen when we get together. haha We came in for lunch and talked with Casey for a bit, then went back out for about another hour. Came in and tried to Skype with Anne and Zander, but that wasn't working to well, so we just chatted on the phone for a bit. Showered and headed into town for burgers and ice cream, a quick Walmart run, then back to their condo to just chill.

Their dog, Cleveland, really liked me. He liked to be next to me whenever possible. haha!

Sunday:

We got up about 9 and Tonya made some blueberry muffins and coffee. I got all my stuff packed up and and headed home when they left for church. Quick pics before we said goodbye, for now.

Awesome couple going to make some BIG changes in Africa! I'm so excited for them! And excited for them to come back too! haha :)

I got home about 1:30 and Ty got home around 3. We decided to run some errands and then go to walk at Yellow Creek Park. It got a little warm, but it was a pretty nice day out there. Of course, we had to stop on the bridge to take a quick pic. :)

After that, we headed home and showered and then went to go see the Chernobyl Diaries with Cody and Kimber. It was pretty good! Definitely a jumpy movie. Then we made a Walmart run and stopped at Taco Bell for some quesadillas that we were both craving! haha

Monday:

We got up super duper early to go down to Ty's parents so he and his dad could go fishing. They left and I laid down and went back to sleep. Ty's mom made lunch and then she and Gracie and I headed down to a lady from church's house to lay around her pool. It was so nice! We had a good time just hanging out and we got a little sun too. We headed back to their house around 3:30 and chatted with them for a few, then we headed home around 5. We played a few games of PIG in the driveway and then the neighbor kid's joined us and I just spectated. Got this fun shot in the process:

haha! How fun is that?!?! All in all, it was a really GREAT weekend! So happy it's just a four day work week!! Happy Hump Day everyone!

Weekend Wrap UP

Friday:

I wanted to go to Menard's and look around just for funsies, oh and to get a hose reel, but I went home after work and sat on the couch and started reading this:

Darn book is addicting!! haha it's different, but good. So anyway, I laid on the couch and read and Izzy laid on the loveseat and did this:
So cute! Ty was in Nashville to play softball, so I had nothing else to do but read. haha

Saturday:

I got up and ate some breakfast and decided it was time to get outside and enjoy the pretty, sunny day. So I washed my very dirty car and pulled some more weeds out front. Cleaned off the front door (the spider webs were ridiculous). Doesn't look too shabby. The bushes on the right are still a little crazy, and I would love to just rip them all out and start new, but I don't really feel like spending the money to have someone put in all new bushes, so this will have to do for now.

After all that, I came in and ate some lunch, then re-did my burlap wreath that was starting to look a little "weathered" from the weather, and made it into this. I think it looks pretty darn cute! :)

And here's Baxter wanting to be in the picture. Cute little boy.

After all that it was time to shower and head to Evansville to celebrate one of my BESTest friends' 30th birthday, Danielle! But first, I HAD to go to the mall to check out the new Forever 21 that just opened. Ah, I LOVE that store. Of course, it had to wait until I'm not in Evansville 5 days out of the week anymore, but that's okay. My wallet (and husband) thanks them. Anyway, it was great and I got a few new things, including this shirt that I wore out that night. I changed (in my car. haha yes, my car.) and headed to Stockwell Inn to hang out with this beautiful girl and some friends to celebrate her big 3-0 that is this coming Sunday! Happy Birthday Poopie! I LOVE YOU!

I left there around 11 and headed home since Ty had gotten back from Nashville already. We hung out for a little bid and went to bed around 1.

Sunday:

I slept in until NOON and Ty slept until almost 2! Wow! We were obviously tired. And people wonder why we aren't ready to have kids. haha We like our sleep WAY too much! haha Anyway, we lounged around for a while and I started some laundry and cleaned. Then we headed to Lowe's to get some heavy duty stain remover for Ty's softball pants, but they didn't have what we were looking for so we got some other stuff to try and then Ty said we could go get Coldstone. YUM! That man knows how to keep me happy! Ice Cream! haha We headed home after that and was lazy for the rest of the night. Ty took a little nap before work and I lounged around and watched my shows. It was a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-Up

I'm pretty sure I keep going back and forth on what I name my weekend blogs. It's either "Weekend Wrap-Up" or "Weekend Update". I never know which one I used the week before, so I just pick whichever one and roll with it. Who cares. haha!

So anyway...

Friday:

After work, Ty and I went down to the Bar-B-Que Fest (which is just 3 blocks down the street from our house) with his friend Cody, and his fiance, Kimber. It was pretty busy down there, but not too bad. I just got a corndog and Ty and I got a funnel cake to take home to share. Ty got a big ole pork chop meal too, that was delish!! We walked around and people watched and then headed home and just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Saturday:

Ty got up at the butt-crack-of-dawn to go compete in a fishing tournament with his dad and I slept in a little bit. Krystal called me around 10 to see if it was okay if we rescheduled her party because a lot of people weren't able to make it. I said that was totally fine so I stayed home and did laundry and cleaned our bedroom. Izzy decided she wanted to help with the laundry...she's so cute! :)

Ty go home and we showered and went back down to the BBQ Fest to get some dinner. That time I got a pulled pork sandwich that was delicious and then we got these yummy mini donuts to share!! Don't they look ridiculously good??? THEY WERE!!

After eating those, I passed out on the couch. Ty was watching the NBA. BORING! So I couldn't keep my eyes open, so I took a little nappy nap. Ty went to lay down in the bed later and I just lounged on the couch for the rest of the night. Oh, and Baxter and Izzy napped with me too...

Sunday:

Mother's DAY!!! I went to E-ville to see my momma!

Then we headed out to her dad and stepmom's for lunch. But first we stopped by the cemetery so we could visit my mom's mom and she put some new flowers out there for her. I hadn't been there in a few years, so it was good to stop by.

We had a nice visit at my grandparent's house. It's always good to spend time with the family! We got back to M&G's around 4 and I talked to Mom and Gerry a bit and we had gotten on the subject of frappuccino's and frozen coffees, so I told them about this recipe I found online. It's really, really good, so I'll share it with you all. Another night. I got home and Ty was up so we watched a movie on tv and just hung out until he had to go to work.

The End!

I'll share the coffee recipe with you all soon!

Goodnight!

One Year Down...

This past Monday, May 7, was Ty and I's first wedding Anniversary. It's SO crazy to think that it's already been a year since that wonderful day! This year has flown by, but it's been so great! I love being married! I love calling Ty my husband. I love seeing that titanium wedding band on his ring finger. I LOVE seeing my beautiful engagement ring and band on my finger. I love looking back at pictures from our perfect day!! I pray for 80 more years like this past one (with the exception of adding any more cats! Three is PLENTY! haha)

So anyway, for our first anniversary we decided to go out of town and spend the weekend in Nashville. We stayed at the Opryland Hotel, which is gorgeous and huge!! We totally got lost trying to find our room Friday night, but we eventually found it. haha

So Friday we just relaxed in the room. We slept in Saturday morning and then headed to the Science Museum. It was fun! Saw some really interesting things and played some fun games. We left there and went back to the hotel and got some coffee and just lounged around our room again. Watched the Kentucky Derby (all 1 1/2 minutes of the race). Unfortunately, we didn't win anything. boo. Then we changed and freshened up and walked around the hotel a little bit then went to Dave & Busters to eat dinner and play some games. We had a blast! And came home with a commemorative glass and some candy with our tickets from D&B's. haha Sunday we slept in again and left to go to Opry Mills Mall. I wanted to go to Forever 21 and Ty wanted to go to Bass Pro Shop. So we went our separate ways and then met back up to get lunch and ice cream before we headed back home. (and stopping at the in-law's on the way home too. :))

It was a WONDERFUL weekend! And I'm so blessed to get to share my life with this wonderful man who I love more than I ever thought possible and who loves me so much!

Here are a few pics from this weekend:
