Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday:

Ty and I ran to the mall so I could look for a shirt to wear Saturday night for Lindsey's Bachelorette party. I didn't have any luck, but I did find some nice workout capri's on sale at Penny's, along with a cute little casual tank. Wish it was warm enough to wear it now. Oh well, spring will be here soon enough. After we left the mall, we ran to the movie place and rented End of Watch. It was really, really good! and sad. Darn movie. We got finished watching that around 10:30 or so, so we called in an order at Roca Bar and returned to movie on the way to pick up our pizzas. They were DELISH!!
Yummy, right??

Saturday:

Slept in a little and did some straightening up and cleaning around the house before I started to get ready for LR's bachelorette party. Izzy's never too far from me when I'm home. See...

After finally leaving my house late (imagine that) I stopped for gas and to pick up a new shirt to wear since I didn't find one the night before, I was on my way.

We left E-ville a little before 3 and headed to French Lick. We rented the Pink Elephant party bus and had a great time!!!
Me, Steph, and Danielle

We stopped at the French Lick Winery to do a tasting and hung out there for a while. That was the first time I've ever been to a winery. We had a great time!!
Danielle and I hanging out outside the winery
All of us girls in front of the party bus!

After that, we went to 33 Brick Street (Larry Bird's restaurant) to eat dinner. Danielle, Stephanie and I all shared a sampler platter. It wasn't much food, but we had beer, so I guess we thought that was plenty! haha!

And here are some random pictures at dinner:
Oh hey!!!

Kisses for my BFF

Steph, Danielle, LR (the bride) and me

No clue! haha

Oh, Steph just touching up her makeup at dinner. No big deal.

No idea what this is about either, but it makes me laugh!

After dinner, it was off to the bar next door for a few drinks. It was fun little place and another good place for photos! :)

Finally after all that fun, we still had the casino to hit up. So, we headed there. A few girls gambled, including our bus driver, but most of us headed to the bar they had there and danced our booties off. My feet were so sore by the time we left, but we had a great time!! Hopefully I burned off at least one beer with all that dancing. :)

While waiting for the bus to pick us up, I noticed a few UK fans, so I had to take their pics and send to Ty. He appreciated them! haha

We finally made it home after 1 and to say we were all exhausted is an understatement. We definitely all had a good time!

Sunday:

Woke up at Danielle's around 8:30 and got all my stuff together and headed home. Had to make a stop at Mickey D's though and get a nutritious breakfast. Egg McMuffin and a large Sprite.

I got home and Ty was the best little hubby. He cooked burgers for lunch, then let me nap on the couch for like 2 1/2 hours. Then he cooked an incredibly delicious dinner of stuffed pork chops, baked potato, mac & cheese and corn on the cob. So, so good! I was so lazy all day and just ate and it was the best!! haha Sometimes you just need days like that. :)

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

I Love My Polar FT4!!

So, I asked Ty for some new perfume for Valentine's Day a few weeks ago, but then decided that since I'd been wanting to get a Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor for a while now, that I would ask him for that instead. At first, I don't think he really wanted to get me that, for the simple fact that it's Valentine's Day and that doesn't really fall in the "typical Valentine's Day gift" realm. But whatevs! Don't you want to get me something I'd like and want?? haha So he went for it.

Of course, I waited until like 2 days before V-Day to tell him that was what I'd rather have and the best deal for those were online. So I found a New Balance Heart Rate Monitor on Target's website and we went there Wednesday night after eating dinner at Shogun, of course. (Ty is absolutely obsessed with sushi right now. OBSESSED.) We got the heart rate monitor, but when I looked at it when we got home and read about it online, I realized it didn't track my calories, which was really the only reason that I wanted the HRM. So, Thursday after work I returned it and then ordered the Polar FT4 from PedometersUSA and I got it in the mail yesterday!!!! :) Woo hoo!!!!

I ended up getting the bronze color instead of the pink. I'm not really sure why. I guess I thought it looked more "grown up". haha weird, I know. Oh well, it works, that's what matters!

I finished Week 2 of my couch25K app (I have Get Running, but it's the same thing) today on lunch and burned 236 calories! Sweet!

Then tonight after work I went to Zumba. This wasn't including the warmup, but still a GREAT burn. I was pumped to see that I burned that much! I love this thing!!

If you're on the fence about getting an HRM, DO IT!!! You won't be disappointed!

1 Year

So, today marks 1 year since I found Izzy at my work. I can't believe it's already been a year since we found her!

I never wanted to be the "crazy cat lady" with more than 2 cats, but I immediately fell in love with her and luckily so did Ty, so then WE became the "crazy cat couple" with 3 cats. haha Oh well. We love our little fur babies and for now, they are the only babies we need. :)

2.8.12 - How could I not fall in love with that cute little face??

March 2012 - She LOVED to cuddle with me!

October 2012

January 2013 - still my little cuddle bug sometimes. :)

Happy "we found you" day, Izzy!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday:

My sister sent me a picture of her outfit that day and said she was "channeling my inner you", talking about me! It was super cute! Totally a me outfit. See:

So, since she sent me her outfit, I figured I needed to send her my "ski bunny inspired outfit":

It was coooold on Friday, so I thought I needed to stay warm. :)

Anyway, Friday night Ty and I just decided to order a pizza and stay in, so that's what we did. Nice chill night.

Saturday:

We both got up really early. Ty at 4:30 and I was up (but not out of bed) at 6:30. Ty went out to the woods to get his trail cam and a deer stand. When he got back I decided to get out of bed. He was doing stuff on the computer, so I decided to do my Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred workout. Oh man, she kicks my butt! But it's such a good, quick workout. Ty got to watch me sweat to death and try to not die while doing it. haha It was comical, I'm sure. I then had to get ready to go to Evansville for Bridget's shower.

It was a really nice shower! They got a bunch of cute things! And look how cute she is!!

After that I went to do a little shopping! I had plans to go with Ty and some others to go skiing at Paoli Peaks, but a bunch of people backed out and I would have been the only girl. So, since some of my friends had plans to get together that night to watch the IU game, I figured I'd pass on skiing and stay in E-ville to hang out with them. So since we weren't getting together for a few hours, I had a few hours to kill and what's a better way to kill time then shopping?? So, that's what I did. I didn't really have money to spend, but whatevs.

I was in TJ Maxx when Ty called and had found a nice coat/jacket thing to wear skiing, so I went ahead and got it since we do still plan on going sometime. I didn't take a picture, but it's pretty cute. Grey/white/lime and it was on clearance for $20! Then I went to Ulta and got some new foundation to try out. I've been using Bare Minerals for a couple of years now, but sometimes it just isn't enough coverage. Especially in the winter, when I don't have a tan. Bleh. So I got this to try out:

I have it on today, and I think I really like it! I need to wear it some more and see if it breaks me out. Hopefully it doesn't. That's always my fear when using liquid foundation. I also switched up my moisturizer and got this. I see a ton of commercials about it and see people talk about it on blogs, so I thought I'd try it.

I could use some complexion help too. Hopefully I'm not just completely freaking my face out by switching everything up!! That would REALLY suck. Face, I'm 28, not 18. I don't need any more break outs!! So keep your fingers crossed for me that I'm helping my skin and not making it worse.

I also hit up Tar-jay and got these cute flats for $4.50!!! Love me some deals!!

Look around at Gordman's, but didn't see anything I HAD to have. It was finally time to meet up with my friends at The Fox. I got this pretty yummy drink, Cherry Cream Soda.

We watched the game, which was great! IU pulled out the win and is #1 again. Even though my husband is a HUGE Kentucky fan, I'm still a Hoosier at heart and it was pretty great to see them win that game!! After that I headed home and went to bed!

Sunday:

I was super duper lazy. Ty didn't get home from skiing until like 6 in the morning, so he slept all day and I watched Lifetime movies and the Superbowl commercials and half-time show. I didn't really watch much of the game. haha My favorite commercial was definitely the Budweiser Clydesdale! Got a little teary eyed when I saw it. Not going to lie. The half-time show was good. I loved all the dancing, but I just didn't think it was as BIG as I thought it would be. When it was the end, I didn't even realize it was over. haha I still think the Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Aerosmith half-time show was the best EVER!!! Think they'll all perform together again?? :)
