Weekend Wrap Up

Friday:

Ty left for Florida with his dad this morning, so I was left by myself this weekend, so after work my friend, Megan and I decided to have a "girl's date" and go get sushi. YUM! We went to Shogun and it did not disappoint. Like usual. We went back to my house and chatted for a little bit, then she headed home since she had to work this weekend. I ran up to the movie place and rented Magic Mike since Ty was gone and I STILL hadn't seen the sexiness that is THE Channing Tatum in all his barey-clothed-dancing-glory!

Drinking some yummy iced coffee and digging into Ty's Nerds that I bought for him, but he hadn't opened yet. His loss. :)

So, the movie itself was "Eh". I super duper loved the dancing parts, but other than that, I had a hard time paying attention. After that, I caught up on some blogs, watched FRIENDS and finally made myself go to bed after snuggling with this cute little baby.
Gosh, I just love her!!!

Saturday:

It turned out to be a really pretty day, but I had already planned the night before to go the Evansville for the day to pick up a bridesmaids dress, do some shopping and visit my fam and some friends, so I finally headed over there about 11:30. I went to Dick's first to look for some padded cycling shorts or capris for the spinning class at my gym. I've only done it once and absolutely LOVED it, but haven't gone back yet because I really wanted to get some extra padding to sit on those tiny bike seats.

I was in luck!! I got these for 25 bucks! Whoop whoop! Hot, right?? haha!

Just have to wear some shorts or capris over them. I hope they help! We'll find out this week.

Then I stopped by the Banana Republic Factory Store to look around since I'd only been in there like maybe 1 other time. Everything in there was 40% off, including the clearance. So I walked out of there with 2 springy shirts that were on clearance for like $13. Sweet!

Next stop was David's Bridal to pick up my bridesmaid's dress for my friend, Anne's wedding that's in September. Got in and out of there pretty quick. Thank goodness.

Then I went to the mall. Oh the lovely, Eastland Mall. When I lived in E-ville I always thought that mall was crappy, but now that I really do have a crappy mall, like REALLY crappy, I can appreciate Eastland Mall. But Saturday it just didn't do anything for me. Womp womp. I did get a pair of free panties from VS and a pair of bathing suit bottoms. Oh and a frozen coffee. But that is really ALL that I walked out of that mall with after going into a ton of stores and trying on a ton of clothes. Oh well. I really wanted to get some new running shoes anyway, so since I had only spent like $60 so far that day, I knew it wouldn't hurt so bad to fork over $100 on new tennies.

So I left the mall and went to the good ole Shoe Carnival to just look around. No such luck though. So then I went to this placed called Ultimate Fit to get fitted for running shoes. The guy in there was so helpful and really knows his stuff about running, oh and feet, which is important. After trying on some Brooks, Saucony, and Mizunos, I walked out with these Mizunos.
LOVE them!! They look orange, but I've been describing them as "watermelon pink". They are super comfortable and the 10th of a mile that I ran on the treadmill at the store, they were awesome! I so wanted to try them Sunday, but it was raining out and I didn't want to get them dirty even walking outside in them to go to the gym. haha

Anyway, after that I didn't need to spend anymore money on myself, so I went to visit the parentals for a little bit and then went to my sister, Michelle's, to visit with her for a little bit too. After all that, I went to my friend Jenny's house for dinner and game night! We had a blast! We had this awesome Napa Cabbage salad, that I cannot wait to make, stuffed peppers. Oh, and s'mores brownies, banana bread, and cookie cake too. Geez. So good though. And then we played Phase 10. FOREVER.

It was so fun though! I finally left around midnight and talked to my sister, Krystal the whole way home. Kept me awake and made the drive seem so quick.

Sunday:

Slept in until 10:30. It was wonderful! It rained all day, so my day consisted of Lifetime movies and some of this...
NAPS. I love me some naps. I did finally brush my teeth and put on a bra so I could return Magic Mike and pick up some food for my cats. But then I came back home and watched my Sunday night shows and then did this...
...admired my new shoes and watched Pitch Perfect. Duh!

It was a great weekend...but I'm so ready for my hubby to be home!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday:

Since my mom and step-dad were coming over on Saturday, like most people, I needed to clean. BAD! haha I told Ty that I wish people came over more often, because it's a good motivator to clean. He said, I keep the house clean enough. haha awww, thanks boo. :)

So anyway, Ty had been up all day, so he went to take a nap and I started cleaning downstairs and did some laundry too. I wore my HRM to see how many calories I burned because I was curious. I didn't take a picture of my calorie burn, but I think in 3 hours of cleaning I burned around 450 calories. Not too shabby for a Friday night! Then Ty got up to do a baseball fantasy draft around 8, so I ran and picked up pizzas from Roca Bar. haha good thing I burned some calories because I definitely ate them all back. Oh well. I cleaned a little more after that, then crashed.

Saturday:

I woke up about 7:30 and Ty had been up since about 4:30 and was a busy bee in the backyard! He cleaned out our shed and started raking up the HUGE leaves off the ridiculously HUGE tree (that isn't even ours) that decides to lose all it's leaves into our teeny tiny yard. We failed to rake them up in the fall (whoops!), so Ty got some big ole bags from his work and filled THREE of them! You can kind of see it in this picture. It was humongous!

Baxter was also outside supervising Ty's work. haha!

Then he got tired and decided to lay down. ;)

I helped rake up some of the leaves out of the landscaping, but Ty definitely did most of the work and I am very, very thankful for that!

Needless to say, when my parents got to our house we weren't quite ready. They hung out with the kitties for a little bit while we finished getting ready, then we headed downtown and ate at a cute little diner called Bee Bops. Ty and I had never been there either and it was so good! I got a burger and fries and had some of mom's milkshake and it was delish!

We walked down to the new park that opened up last fall by the river and it's so pretty and so neat. It's a great place for kids with a huge playground. It's really, really nice!

Then we went to the coffee shop where they were having "open mic day" basically. Got some coffee and then Ty headed home to meet his dad to fish and Mom, Gerry, and I sat down and drank our coffees, listened a little bit to the music, and talked a whole lot. We stayed there for a few hours and had a great time! We headed back home around 3 and then they left to go back to Evansville. It was a great visit!

Since Ty was still gone, I decided to go to the little flea market, Trader Bakers mall and look around. Ty called while I was there and he was on his way back, so he met me there. We looked around some and then went to get some stuff for dinner at Kroger. We got home and made some bbq ribs and macaroni salad. It was good! But ribs are so hard to eat. haha! Anyone else feel that way? Ty was exhausted and was passed out on the couch by 7:30ish. Poor guy. So he went to bed not long after that. I stayed up a little while longer and then crashed myself.

Sunday:

With the time change, we slept in until about 10, which was great! Ty wanted to go to the grocery as soon as we got up, but I just wasn't feeling that. I just wanted to eat a bowl of cereal and be lazy. So we watched SNL from the night before. Justin Timberlake is hilarious! I love when he hosts that show! I ended up falling asleep on the couch, shocker! and Ty went to take a nap too. I woke up about 3:30 and changed to go to JCPenney's to use a coupon that I had gotten thru my email. $10 off $25 or more. Yes, please. So I got a few things and then went to Wal-Mart to get groceries since I didn't feel like going that morning. Came home and made some Chicken Pot Pie Muffins that were delicious! Watched my Sunday night shows and made myself go to bed around 11 or so. The time change has me off. Or maybe it was my 3 hour afternoon nap. haha whoops. :)

Finish the Sentence...

Today I'm linking up with Holly at Where We Can Live Like Jack and Sally for:

button

So here we go...

1. People always tell me...I have no idea...lately everyone has been asking when I'm going to have a baby. I have 3 cats people. And one of them only has 3 legs, a liver problem and a heart murmur, we can't afford a baby! haha Sad, but true.
2. In the movie based on my life... I would be portrayed as the "crazy cat lady" with a husband. As you can tell, by the previous answer and...
Exhibits A, B, and C:

3. Typically, I end up regretting... eating WAY to many cookies, or pieces of Mini Cadbury Eggs
4. I always ask to leave off the... tomato! Ick. Slap on the ketchup though! Yummy!
5. Kim and Kanye really need to... STOP. Just stop everything. I'm so over them. But I still follow her on Instagram. oops.
6. My Parents always reminded me... to turn my clocks forward or backwards. Today is no different. This is for reals. Love my mom!

7. Every single day I... check Instagram as soon as I wake up. Yeah, I'm a little obsessed with it right now.
8. This one time in College... I got an "underage alcohol possession" ticket on Spring Break in Panama my freshman year and waited until I graduated and moved out of my parents house to tell them. They shook their hands and laughed. Had I told them when it happened, I would have been moving my happy drinking butt home to IN and going to school at USI. Eww. Sometimes the delayed truth is best. Right, mom? ;)
9. My grossest habit is... popping blackheads. Eww. It's gross to me even, but I have to do it!
10. My latest white lie was... honestly, I don't know...Probably telling my husband I only ate 2 cookies the other night when I really had like 5. HA!
11. I know all the words to... Anchorman. And Finding Nemo. and most episodes of Friends, too. I quote Friends daily, but none of the people that I work with know that show like I do. So I'm the only one that laughs and gets my witty comments. haha
12. When I grow up... "I wanna be famous. I wanna be a star. I wanna be in movies." Just Kidding. I'm not a Pussycat Doll. I maybe should have put that I know all the words to this song on the previous answer. Oh well. For real, I want to be an Entertainment News Anchor, like Guiliana Rancic. I'm not sure my current position of being a Purchasing Agent at a hospital is the first step down the anchorlady track, but, ehhh, gotta pay the bills somehow.
13. Sexy time is... NECESSARY!!
14. I will never, ever... do Jagerbombs, tequila shots and drink beer in the same night ever again! EVER!
15. I think it's hilarious when... when my husband busts out the Frank & Beans dance from Impractical Jokers in random places. (I tried to find the video but couldn't, if you know what I'm talking about, it's hilarious!)

Stop & Smell the Roses Vlog

I decided to get back on the vlogging train...so the perfect way to do that is to link up with Mandy at House of Rose for her monthly vlog, Stop & Smell the Roses.

Stop and Smell the Roses

Please ignore the fact that I'm at HOT mess. I'm pretty sure the 2 other times I linked up for this vlog I recorded my video on Wednesday night after I'd been to Zumba. Tonight is no different. Maybe I should record this earlier in the week when I look decent. Good idea. Next month. I'm on it. ;)

But for now, you get me in my post-Zumba-sweaty-glory. You're welcome. haha

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday:

It was cold and kind of rainy on Friday, so after work I just wanted to go home and be lazy, so that's what I did. Ty was sleeping and I tried to wake him up, but that didn't work too well. So I laid around and watched some DVR'd shows. Ty finally got up around 7 and asked if I just wanted to go lay in the bed and watch TV, so I did that and he went back to sleep. I think I was asleep by 9:30 or so.

Saturday:

Woke up and Ty was making us some breakfast! He watched some college basketball, so I lounged on the couch with this lazy bum and ended up falling asleep.

After our little catnap (Pun intended. :)) I finally showered and put on some makeup in case we decided to do something. We had a late lunch and finally decided to go bowling. Before that, we did some of this:

Just a little picture taking with our first baby, Lexie.

And Ty intently watching basketball, I'm sure. ;)

Baxter being nice and bathing his littlest sister. :) Pretty sure they were hitting each other in the faces about 3 seconds after this picture. haha

We got to the bowling alley around 7 and it wasn't very busy at all. It took Ty about half a game to get warmed up and then he was on a roll. I'm pretty sure he got 5 strikes in a row at one time. Geez. Kicked my butt! But we had a blast. It was fun and something different to do.

We sat in the bar for just a little bit to finish our drinks and listened to some mediocre karaoke. Props to them though, because I couldn't get up there and do it.

Ignore the awesome iPhone quality...I'm thinking I need to upgrade to the 5. ;)

We left there and decided to rent Savages. It was different. Not the best, but not terrible. I'm just glad Ty picked it out and not me. He always gives me hell when I pick out a movie and it isn't any good...which tends to happen often. haha

Also, I opened up my new bottle of wine that I got at the French Lick Winery. It was good! Really sweet, but good!

And Ty did this for a little bit before the movie. This is him most nights and weekends. Looking at games on the computer and his phone. Is it bad if I say I CAN'T wait for basketball to be over?? haha

Sunday:

Slept in. Ran to the grocery to get some stuff to make for lunch. Did a TON of laundry. Made lunch and some yummy cookies! Ty napped before work and I watched some Lifetime movies. Lovely little Sunday. :)
