Camping Weekend #2

Friday:

I worked just a half day so I could get over to Henderson not long after the rest of my fam got there. I went home and changed into this awesome shirt that I got last weekend. hahah LOVE IT!!!

yes, that says "check meowt". hahaha!

We got a little fire going and sat around and chatted and listened to music. We had burgers and hot dogs for dinner. We had some S'mores and played Catchphrase for a little bit too. Slowly, everyone started going to their tents and going to bed.

Our little home for the weekend

I saw a deer waaaaaaaay down there on the road. There were 2 babies with her too over to the right.

One of the deer that I had seen earlier in the evening was on the hill right behind us.

Saturday:

We woke up not too early and mom and Gerry were up making bacon and eggs and toast. Delish!!! We had a little 4 pot coffee maker, so we had real coffee too (not the instant stuff). Thank goodness!! We sat around for a little while. I went up to the restroom and Katie was sitting at the playground watching Nate. So I sat with her and chatted for a little bit. When I came back, Kelsey said they had found a little snapping turtle by our fire. It was SO little and so cute!

"He's just a little guy!"

Everyone showered, and some ran some errands and we had a little lunch. While Katie showered, Nate hung out with us. I laid out a blanket and he laid with me. I tried to take some pics with him, but this was the best I could get! haha

Michelle and the girls, and Katie and Nate all decided to take a nap. So, my mom, Krystal and I decided to go for a little hike by the lake. Gerry stayed back at the camp because his knee was hurting. Well our little hike turned into walking around the whole lake. It took us about 40 mins. It was fun! We saw a wedding (well I think it was after the wedding), we saw a birthday party, lots of fishers, people taking family pics. Lots of people around. It was fun!

After we got back, I was kind of tired, so I went and took about a 45 min nap. When I got up, everyone else was up and we started getting dinner fixed. We ate, then played Uno Attack, made more S'more's, of course, and played Catchphrase again.

Kelsey and Katie. On their phones. How did we ever camp before with out cell phones. I mean, for real! haha

Kelsey was showing us that she could do a heel stretch, (she's not a cheerleader and unfortunately didn't get our cheerleading genes) so I had to show her up! haha
Not too bad. :)

Sunday:

I was the last one up and everyone was already packing up. We all headed home around 9. I spent the day being lazy with my kitty cats and did some laundry.

All in all, it was a great time. Ty, unfortunately was working all weekend, so he never got to come over. I was pretty bummed, but we still had a blast. I'm sure there will be more camping trips in the future.

Weekend Shenanigans

Friday:

Like I said on Friday's post, Danielle and Jeremiah came over and we went to eat sushi. Our fave place to eat sushi is really little, so we figured on Friday night at 7 o'clock, it would be PACKED. So we picked another place in town that's good, and it didn't disappoint. I love me some sushi and it had been a while since I'd eaten it, so it was delish.

After dinner, Ty was craving something chocolate, which is strange because he's not a big chocolate fan AT ALL. There weren't a ton of places around to get chocolate, so we decided on ice cream (or frozen custard as they call it) from Culver's. It was pretty darn good too! Once we were done stuffing ourselves, D&J headed back to E-ville. It was so fun to get to hang out with them! We definitely need to do it more often.

My poopie. Love her so so much!!

Once we got home, we were exhausted. Ty had only taken a little nap that day, so he was out on the couch, QUICK.

He's such a cute little sleeper.

Saturday:

Got up super early to shower and leave for Ty's parents. My MIL & SIL were going shopping and invited me along and we were leaving at 9:30 for Bowling Green. It was pouring at home when we left, but once we got closer to his family's house it was nice and sunny. Thank goodness! Going from store to store in the rain is NOT fun!

Ty stayed with his dad to hunt and us girls headed out. We stopped at Kohl's, a cute little monogram place, had lunch at Rafferty's, then we headed to the mall. After the mall, we went to Gander Mountain, so Gracie could try on a North Face jacket, then got some fro-yo at a place called Stakz. Delish!!!! Then we went by Sally Beauty Supply, TJ Maxx, one more stop at McDonald's for a drink for Anita, some french fries for Gracie, a coffee for me and we were on our way back home around 7! We shopped til we dropped, that's for sure!

All of our bags on Gracie's bed (most of which were hers. ha!)

We got burgers and onion rings for dinner and hung out for a little while, then Ty and I headed to the hunting cabin to stay the night there. We tend to stay there mostly so we don't have to kick Gracie out of her bed. haha! It's so nice there, but it's definitely a true hunting cabin. This was my view as I laid down Saturday night...

Yep. A bunch of poor little body-less deer hanging above me. Nice.

Sunday:

We slept in and then headed over to his parents for some chili. Gracie had some algebra homework and asked me to help her. She had to refresh my memory, but I finally did kind of remember how to do it. She had it down though. I think i was just there for moral support. :)

We finally headed home around 4. When I got home I went through all my goodies from shopping. One item included this awesome house decor item that I bought for me sister. She LOVES to hashtag things. So, I couldn't pass it up:

#awesome #bestlittlesisterever

After going through all the stuff I bought, everything I got, minus the thing for my sister and one other shirt, is workout related. haha! I guess that's what happens when you have to wear "uniforms" to work. Oh well. Everyone loves new workout clothes, right? :)

Nike workout tank (similar style) & Fila sports bra: Clearance at Kohl's
Compression capris & long sleeve purple shirt(similar style here): Old Navy
Long sleeve hooded pink shirt: TJ Maxx

5 on Friday

This is the first time I'm linking up with Darci @ The Good Life Blog for 5 on Friday and I'm pretty excited about my five things this week, so here we go:

- ONE -

Tonight one of my best friends and her husband are coming over to O-town from E-ville (about a 45 min drive) to have dinner with Ty & I. I'm pretty excited! Danielle and I use to get hang out ALL the time when I lived in Evansville still and even once I moved to O-town, and still worked over there, we hung out quite a bit, but now, you'd think that 45 min drive was like a 45 hour drive, we just don't get together enough. So, I'm pumped for our double date! I believe sushi is on the menu and I can't be any happier about that either!

Danielle & Jeremiah. Love them!!

- TWO -

My friend from work, Megan, decided this past weekend that she wanted to start running. I've done a couple of 5Ks this year and try to run once or twice a week, (sometimes more, sometimes less) so she asked if I would run with her and be her "trainer". haha! So of course, I said yes. I normally run by myself, so it's been fun having a running partner three days this week.

Tuesday's run/walk complete.

- THREE -

I finally finished my DIY chalkboard that I started on months ago. I'm pretty sure I went through about 4 different frames because I kept breaking the glass. Ugh. So I finally just took the plexiglass out of another frame that was in our laundry room (who really needs pictures in the laundry room anyway?) and spray painted it with the chalk paint. I added the cute little burlap flower and hung it up in the kitchen. My plans are to use it as our "Menu" board, but for now, I'm enjoying my Happy Fall message! :)

- FOUR -

I had my 6 month cleaning at the dentist yesterday and I left with NO cavities! Yay! So I treated myself to Caramel Latte Lite from Dunkin' Donuts and 2 Pumpkin Munchkins. (and made sure to brush my teeth really good before I went to bed too) ;)

(homegirl needs a spray tan in her life. yikes!)

- FIVE -

And my final thing is just to share a pic of my cute hubby and our youngest fur baby. How sweet are they? I just love them both to little bitty teeny tiny pieces. :)

Loving on her "dad".

Happy Friday ya'll!! Only a few more hours and it's the weekend! Enjoy it!
