C-A-T-S

So, Saturday was my first ever real life experience of a University of Kentucky athletic event. I married into a HUGE UK Wildcats loving family, so being the supportive wife that I am, I'll take the crap from my step-dad, (who is a HUGE Indiana Hoosiers fan), and throw on a blue shirt and cheer for the Cats!

Anyway, the University of Kentucky played Western Kentucky University Saturday night in Nashville, so Ty got tickets and we headed down Saturday afternoon. We stopped in Bowling Green at the mall so Ty could get a hat and white shirt (because he had on a black one and it was 90something degrees and he would have had a heat stroke if he wore it!!)

After that, we were on our way to Nashville. What should have taken about an hour, ended up taking over 2 hours! Traffic was nuts!!

Pretty sure 98% of these cars were headed to the game!
Traffic for daaaayyyyyssss!!!!

Finally made it into Nashville, so I took the photo opp.

Ty got our tickets off of Craigslist, so we had to meet the guys parents before the game to get them. They were tailgating and had a ton of food, so they offered it to us. They were so nice and actually were from Owensboro too!
So random! So we ate and then headed up to the stadium.

Once we got in, we watched them warm up for a little while before we went to our seats.

Ty wouldn't let me have the lady behind us take a picture, so this would have to do. :)

Our seats were AWESOME! We were in the second row on the second level right on the 35 yard line.

We were on Western's side and unfortunately for us, the Cats lost. But it was a great game and we both had a good time!! I'm sure Ty would have liked to have someone to talk to during the game that knew somewhat of what was going on, but I'm glad he brought me anyway! :)
